WE SHOULD ALL BE FEMINISTS

THE LAST WORDS by Titilope Sonuga

This poem has to be one of the most wonderful things I’ve read this year. Titilope sees through me. I hope it melts your heart as much as it did mine.

“It’s not you, It’s me”

“I just need some time alone to figure things out.”

“I feel like I’m holding you back.”

“you’re too good for me”

“I’m not the man you need me to be right now.” Continue reading “THE LAST WORDS by Titilope Sonuga”

THE LEGAL DRAMA : FOLANKE SOLANKE

image

Mrs. Folanke Solanke remains a great influence in my life. She is part of the Nigerian story and a woman of many firsts. A dear friend tagged me to this post on Facebook. And once again I was reminded of the reason I hold the first female SAN in high esteem. She cleared the path for women like me. Women like you. This may be the best thing you’ll read today. After all, there’s really nothing to celebrate about Nigeria. Read and Enjoy. Continue reading “THE LEGAL DRAMA : FOLANKE SOLANKE”

WOMEN LIKE US…..

image

I’m very happy. Extremely excited. Grateful. Joyful. Happy.
I cried when my story got rejected by Farafina. I was broken and unhappy and sad. The greater heartache was when Adichie said she was looking for writers with “hearts”.
