MOURNING TWENTY-ONE

Your 20’s are your “selfish” years. It’s a decade to immerse yourself in every single thing possible. Be selfish with your time and all aspects of you. Tinker with shit, travel and explore, love a lot, love a little, and never touch the ground. – Kyoko Escamilla.

Happy Sunday y’all.

I was going to share this random thought of mine, a post that I tagged “GIRLS, KNOW THY SELF”. But you won’t believe I clicked on a wrong button and everything disappeared. I couldn’t cry. And so, I decided to post this instead.

That's KUSH! My Red Boo!

Hey guys…

You all know I’m a BOOK NERD.
I finished reading KEEPING FAITH by JODI PICOULT on Monday. Spent almost one month on it, school and sleep won’t let me but I’m done now. And I’m on to the next – AND THE MOUNTAINS ECHOED by KHALED HOSSEINI.

JACKIE COLLINS

If you want to be a writer, stop talking about it and sit down and write. – Jackie Collins.

Was walking towards the ATM to withdraw “my last card” when I saw these beauties. What got my attention was the book by JACKIE COLLINS, HOLLYWOOD WIVES. I couldn’t resist and so I took a picture of it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE INSTITUTION THAT IS CHIMAMANDA NGOZI ADICHIE

Chimamanda. I think it was the name I fell in love with at first, I had never heard that name. My secondary school was in the heart of Umuahia, with over 300 Igbo students and no one had the name – CHIMAMANDA. But we sure had an abundance of the regular Igbo names : CHIDINMA, CHIOMA, CHIAMAKA etc.

OUR DEEPEST FEARS

Inspirational-poem-from-Marianne-Williamson-about-our-deepest-fears-in-life

What you are about to read is an inspirational poem written by MARIANNE WILLIAMSON. I’m pretty sure you must have heard it somewhere or read it somewhere too. I’ve always seen lines from the poem in different articles. Fortunately for me, I got the whole package last week Saturday in my Public-speaking club. I was overwhelmed at the wonderful thoughts of the write up. I felt as though it was written specifically for me and I am sure each and every one of you will feel that way after reading.

This message is for you. Read a line. STOP. Take a breath. THINK. Read a line. Let the simple words of this poem change something in you.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

RHEMA!!!! someone is touched…… go out and shine.. step outa that comfort zone and SHINE… THRIVE.. BLOOM….
