THE LAST WORDS by Titilope Sonuga

This poem has to be one of the most wonderful things I’ve read this year. Titilope sees through me. I hope it melts your heart as much as it did mine.

“It’s not you, It’s me”

“I just need some time alone to figure things out.”

“I feel like I’m holding you back.”

WOMEN LIKE US…..

image

I’m very happy. Extremely excited. Grateful. Joyful. Happy.
I cried when my story got rejected by Farafina. I was broken and unhappy and sad. The greater heartache was when Adichie said she was looking for writers with “hearts”. I got over it and moved on and with some kind words from friends, I sent the story to http://www.coalng.com and it was published. Continue reading “WOMEN LIKE US…..”
